Earl’s Bio

Earl is an accomplished Producer and Creative Director with a wealth of experience in creating captivating projects. Throughout his career, he has successfully produced and managed the scenic fabrication of stunning holiday display packages for prominent developers like General Growth Properties (GGP), Taubman Corp., and Simon Properties. He has collaborated with esteemed licensors, including Sony Pictures (with famous titles like Stuart Little), United Features (Peanuts and Garfield), Winnie the Pooh, Norman Rockwell, and Beatrix Potter, bringing beloved characters to life in remarkable ways.

In addition to scenic design, Earl has also showcased his talents as an illustrator. In 2005, he illustrated four charming children's books for Boys Town Press, which gained nationwide acclaim. One notable title, "A Visit to Grandma", was honored with three awards for excellence.

Earl's visionary approach led him to manage a talented team of creative professionals—from scenic to graphic designers—to create an impressive two-million-dollar immersive, educational traveling exhibition titled "Rockwell's America". This project, which toured ten cities, was not just a visual feast but also an enriching experience for all audiences.

His portfolio is filled with exciting credits, including set design for a Comcast commercial featuring Cal Ripken, an engaging national tour for Discovery Communications (TLC) centered around "Junkyard Wars: On the Road", and art direction for a 250-spot national TV commercial for Discovery Communications. He has also designed memorable holiday exhibits, including the beloved children's book "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" and a fantastic holiday display for Sony Pictures featuring Stuart Little. Notably, he produced an impressive 1.2 million holiday display for Turning Stone Casino and a one-million-dollar display for Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas!

Earl believes passionately in the importance of nurturing future generations of designers. As a retired adjunct professor, he taught courses such as Instructional Design, Typography and InDesign, Graphic Design Production, and more at a for-profit educational institution. His commitment to education also extended to his role at the Computer Career Institute at Johns Hopkins University, where he taught Visual and Graphic Communications.

With over 30 years in the design industry, Earl has honed his skills and built a remarkable career, generating over fifty million dollars in business. He took a leap of faith, changed careers, and became a licensed certified professional counselor (LCPC) in 2016, allowing him to blend his creativity with counseling.

Now, returning to his roots in illustration and writing, Earl is excited to create a series of children's books to help young readers and their parents navigate the complexities and stressors of the 21st century. Earl’s journey reflects his belief in the power of creativity and compassion, and he looks forward to inspiring others through his work.
